Strong Branching Variable Count

Name:
STRONG_BRANCHING_VARIABLE_COUNT
Type: integer
Default Value: 100
Range: \([0 – 2,147,483,647]\)

When BRANCHING_STRATEGY = STRONG_BRANCHING , this option sets the (maximum) number of variables to consider for branching.

Setting the
STRONG_BRANCHING_VARIABLE_COUNT
allows the user to specify how many variables will be used in the strong branching procedure. In order to do that, the user should specify in an options file
STRONG_BRANCHING_VARIABLE_COUNT
to a specific number.

If the user wants to restrict the number of variables to be utilised in strong branching to 10 then the option file should include the new line:

STRONG_BRANCHING_VARIABLE_COUNT = 10
